As usual ,the young krabo was curious about the things around him. So , when he saw some shells (贝壳)and pebbles (鹅卵石) in front of him , he rushed towards them . “Oh , my son , why do you walk sideways (斜着走)like that with your toes turned in (向里歪)?” Mother Krabo said . The young krabo was puzzled . He said , “ But mama, I always walk sideways with my toes turned in . Papa and you also walk sideways with your toes turned in “ “No, no, no. That is not the correct way .You should always walk straight forward with your toes turned out , “ said Mother Krabo . So, the obedient (顺从的)young krabo tried to do as he was told . But try as he might , he couldn’t . In the end , he said , “Mama , I can’t walk straight forward with my toes turned out . Can you please show me ?” Mother Krabo was very glad to hear that her son was willing to learn. “ I will show you, my son. Now step back and watch carefully,” said Mother Krabo . With that , Mother Krabo stretched (伸展)out one of her legs, turned her toes out and tried to take a step forward . But as soon as she did that , she tripped (摔倒)and fell flat on her nose ! Do not tell others how to act unless you can set a good example . 编者附言: krabo来自世界语,在 WPE 选作世界词,在一般英语中写作:crab |
